Terms of Service
Last updated: May 16, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Limaze, LLC ("Limaze," "we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of the Limaze Games platform — including the website at limaze.com, the games subdomain at games.limaze.com, the creator dashboard at studio.limaze.com, our APIs, and all related services (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account that publishes games or stores save data. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Account Registration
To create or publish games you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. The Service
4.1 AI Game Builder
Limaze Games provides an in-browser AI builder that writes complete, playable WebGL games from your natural-language prompts. The builder edits files in a per-session sandbox; you can preview, iterate, export, and publish at any time. The builder is powered by third-party AI models — see Section 8 for what that means in practice.
4.2 Publishing & Playing
When you publish a game, it becomes publicly accessible at games.limaze.com/games/<your-slug>. Anyone with the URL can play it without an account. Logged-in players have their display name attributed on the leaderboard; anonymous players are shown as "anon". You may unpublish a game at any time.
4.3 Game-Runtime SDK
Published games include a small JavaScript runtime (loaded from /runtime.js) that exposes a window.Limaze object with methods for submitting scores, saving progress, and signalling session end. Games may choose whether to use these features. Data submitted via the SDK is governed by our Privacy Policy.
5. Plans & Payments
- Closed Beta: the Service is currently in closed beta and free to use for invited creators. We may impose reasonable usage limits (builder turns per day, file size, build storage) to keep the platform healthy.
- Future Paid Plans: paid tiers may be introduced after public launch. We will announce pricing before charging anyone and will not retroactively charge for activity prior to a paid tier going live. If you do not opt into a paid plan, you will continue on whatever free tier exists at that time.
- Billing: any future paid subscriptions will be billed in advance via Stripe. By subscribing you will authorize recurring charges.
- Cancellation & Refunds: any future paid subscriptions may be canceled at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refund policy for paid plans will be published alongside pricing.
6. Your Content & Intellectual Property
6.1 Ownership
You retain full ownership of the games you create with the Service — including the chat instructions you give the builder, the resulting code files in your sandbox, and the published builds ("Your Content"). Limaze does not claim any ownership rights over Your Content.
6.2 License to Limaze
You grant Limaze a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service — including serving your published games to players from games.limaze.com. This license terminates when you unpublish, delete the project, or close your account.
6.3 Third-Party Assets
Games built on the platform may use third-party assets (for example, Kenney.nl CC0 packs) loaded from external CDNs. You are responsible for complying with the license of any asset you choose to include and for not shipping copyrighted material you do not have rights to.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to build, publish, or play games that:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Depict graphic real-world violence, sexual content involving minors, or other content prohibited by law.
- Implement gambling mechanics with real-money stakes, or analogues designed to skirt local gambling regulation.
- Infringe on identifiable copyrighted intellectual property (characters, logos, brand names, recognizable likenesses) you do not have rights to.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Spam, harass, or deceive other players — for example by posting fake leaderboard scores via automated tools.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other creators' sandboxes, or other players' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, the AI builder, or the game-runtime SDK.
- Circumvent usage limits, access controls, or security measures (including the builder's safety guardrails).
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization.
We reserve the right to unpublish games, suspend accounts, or terminate access for violations of these terms — with or without prior notice.
8. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses third-party AI models (currently Anthropic Claude) to power the game builder. AI-generated code and assets may be inaccurate, insecure, or unfit for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and deciding whether to publish what the builder produces. Limaze does not guarantee the accuracy, security, or fitness of any AI output, and the playable game you publish is your responsibility, not the builder's.
9. Player Conduct & Leaderboards
Players agree not to spoof scores, abuse the save-state endpoints, or automate play to inflate metrics. We perform basic validation on score submissions (matching session id to game id) and may reject or remove scores that look fraudulent. Creators may, at their discretion, contact us to request leaderboard resets on their games.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LIMAZE, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO LIMAZE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Limaze, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of any third-party rights, or the content of any game you publish.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and any games you have published may be unpublished. You may export Your Content from the dashboard before termination. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 6, 10, 11, 12, and 14) will survive.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in English. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
